About us

Built on Experience. Defined by Detail.

A Long Island remodeling company led by Matthew Genova, working in homes across Nassau and Suffolk County for 10 years.

Our story

Modern Touch Contracting has spent 10 years remodeling kitchens, bathrooms and basements in Long Island homes, from a base in Massapequa.

The company is led by Matthew Genova, who oversees projects across Nassau and Suffolk County. The work ranges from complete kitchen and bathroom renovations to finished basements, new floors and smaller improvements, and every job gets the same level of attention.

What sets a renovation apart usually isn’t the material on the sample board. It’s the planning before the work starts and the care taken during it: the layout that makes a kitchen easy to use, the waterproofing nobody sees, the tile that’s centered where your eye lands. That’s where we focus.

We also help clients make decisions. Layout options, cabinet and countertop choices, tile, fixtures: we offer practical recommendations based on how materials perform once they’re installed. We’re a remodeling contractor, not an interior design firm, and our advice comes from the work itself.

How we work

A clear process, from first visit to final walkthrough.

  1. 01

    Initial Consultation

We meet at your home, look at the space as it is today and talk through what isn’t working, what you’d like to change and the budget you have in mind. You’ll get honest feedback on what’s realistic.

  2. 02

    Planning & Material Selection

We help you settle the layout and choose cabinetry, tile, countertops, fixtures and finishes, with recommendations based on how each material holds up in daily use. Your estimate reflects the scope you approve.

  3. 03

    Renovation & Installation

Demolition, rough work, waterproofing, installation and finishing, with qualified trades brought in where the work requires them. We keep you informed as each stage wraps up and the next one begins.

  4. 04

    Final Details & Walkthrough

Trim, caulk lines, hardware alignment, grout haze and touch-ups get handled before we call it done. Then we walk the space with you and address anything you want looked at again.
